ICT-SUSTOUR

has been one of the projects selected in 2004 by the European Commission under the Socrates Programme - Minerva Action.
This project tries to link concepts such as: Information and Communication Technology (ICT),
sustainable development, tourism and education.
The project duration was 2 years: from 1st October 2004 to 30th September 2006. In order to develop
this project, a partnership has been created, bringing together 6 institutions from 4 European countries:
Spain, Finland, Portugal and Romania, and Florida Centre de Formació (Spain) - being the coordinating
organisation.
From Romania, the sole organisation selected has been The Romanian Association for Accommodation
and Ecological Tourism - "Bed and Breakfast" (A.R.C.T.E. B&B).
The main objective of the project is to provide innovative and ICT based tools and resources
for education that facilitate the integration of activities and contents dealing with environment and
sustainable development in Tourism studies.
